Do you meditate or use visualization as a means to communicate with your guides, guardians or other entities? Is it all merely a trip inside your mind, as some would lead you to believe? If you finally received a clear sign from the Universe that pointed towards your true purpose in this life, what would you do? That happened to me and this journal is an attempt to put, at least, some perspective on the incredible changes that have occurred as a result of this awareness...and my willingness to pursue the path of the Medium.
Chances are that if you've come by, you know that we truly walk between worlds...and that there can be great power in the energy of a simple thought form. This journal does not imply that I am any type of expert but, rather, very much a student. The knowledge I've been granted is freely shared here, in the hope that it will assist others on their own journey. Your comments, experiences and observations are always welcome.
These are my Incursions Into Otherworld.

It's Thursday, Dec. 6/07, 9:45AM. I'm just popping by to wish you a great day and to ask you to please stop by. I've sent out an urgent message to the Bravenet community... Thanks, my friend...
The last few weeks have been extraordinary and if spirit guides, magic and my ongoing mediumship studies brings on an automatic yawn, read no further. The level of communication that has developed with my spirit guides is near the top of the list of some really incredible events, along with the accompanying lessons or awareness. An unexpected visitor dropped in while nearing the end of my work in my "Healing Meadow", a place I've used strictly for healing and recharging... with a rather unusual suggestion. And I am now, officially, a godfather. This proved to be a very unique experience for me, (in a number of ways !) holding a beautiful little girl, welcoming her and introducing myself. I had sporadic tears for a few hours afterwards...it was an intensely spiritual experience.
So if any of this interests you, please grab a coffee or some chai tea and read on.

Intruder in Otherworld
I've talked about my healing meadow visualization in previous posts...I enter through a gate and am met with a red morning sun, red flowers and a fine crimson mist. Walking through it, I inhale the mist through my root chakra and picture it spread to my head, fingers and toes. After three complete breathing cycles, the meadow changes to an orange hue, which is then breathed in through my sacral chakra etc...all the way up to violet and the crown chakra. Anyway, the end of the visit brings me to a waterfall, a small lagoon and a lingering rainbow.
As usual, I took a few moments to admire the beauty when a female voice clearly spoke in my head and I glanced up to see a woman in brown clothes, sitting in the air with legs drawn up, as if on the grass. She asked what I was doing and why and then said there was a more efficient way, as she came to stand beside me on the ledge. The communication wasn't in actual words...it's like being with somebody and sharing a special bond, where finishing the other's sentences is commonplace. It was like a rapid exchange of "symbol ideas", as I call them. While I mulled over her suggestion, I drew the rainbow towards us so it washed slowly over each of us in turn - it's an important aspect of using this method for recharging one's etheric energy - and then did a swan dive into the water. We flew back to the gate and parted company.
Yes, I could have asked 21 questions...I suspect she was a temporary guide that I had requested to help with a certain aspect of my studies. Because this is a perfect meditation for a bus ride downtown, there was a time limit which just didn't allow for much conversation. I suspect I'll be seeing her again and have already put a few questions together to ask. Her suggestion involved a fairly complex visualization that I actually tried...once. It resulted in a massive energy surge that I was not prepared for. To make it practical would require quite a juggling act and I'm just the guy to experiment with it.
Dark Grimoire
A large part of my studies in the lab has involved both guide and sign work, and the developing communication level with my guides has been more than satisfactory and quite fulfilling...it has also indicated how much I still have to learn, which shouldn't be a big surprise...lol. What I'm learning presently centers on many different aspects of comunicating with those in the spirit realm. This is extremely important...without finding out how one's own personal guides communicate most effectively and develop one's own "sensing" abillites to interpret their messages, the relationship remains static. Because of the wide variety of psychic abilities (I'm clairvoyant and find images to be most effective) each person needs to learn their own unique "code" when working with guides.
On a number of occasions, I have requested some help from "Laura" in some of my writing. A recently completed short story had her show up and provide some valuable female energy and perspective...and even the idea for it arrived "out of the blue" literally and I found would not leave an hour later. Asked for a temporary guide that would provide help with the female character (I wrote it first person, as a female...first time for everything, I guess) and spent the next 8 hours typing out a story that just developed as I wrote. I called it "Sorceress of Silence" and was extremely pleased with the outcome. The ending surprised even me...lol. Look out "Weird Tales"...
One highlight of the last few weeks was beginning my "Mediumship Grimoire"...at times I feel like a mad wizard, writing down observations and symbols, along with their associated meanings and it slowly dawned that a school exercise book just wouldn't wash. And thus, my newest grimoire is born and a compliment to my magical one...lol. The collection is not yet substantial but growing and has been interjected with a number of very interesting opportunities to practice some of my new-found knowledge. For instance, I had a strange urge on the bus. Focused on a person with my eyes closed and requested a symbol to describe them. For one elderly gentleman, I "saw" a brittle and old Christmas tree with branches missing from the top right...and in the center was a ruby pendant in a silver holder. My interpretation....the tree indicates individual growth and development and looked close to death; the break in branches suggests either lung or heart difficulty, while the ruby signifies the power of the human spirit. Short answer: this was somebody that I would want to know but also keep in my prayers.
Yes, you can get a much more complex reading but I'm only a novice right now.
Tears of a Godfather
This little girl has been much anticipated, by me especially, and arrived a few short days ago. Her name is Tallyah and she is gorgeous !!! I've never been a godfather before and yet the idea is incredibly stimulating. I am responsible for the spiritual aspects to this new child's learning...wow, that just blows me away! What an amazing opportunity and responsibility! But I'm getting ahead of myself...there was a LOT of magic shimmering through the ether leading up to the meeting and even afterwards.
What do you get for a new mother? That question spurred me to frantic searching (yes, posted a question to Yahoo Answers and got some great ideas) and brain storming. Requested help from some of my guides and ended up putting a few little goodies together, including some chocolate eggs and suckers and a book called "Angel Encounters", knowing her avid interest in the topic. Didn't have a lot of money and I was going to get her some fresh flowers but I was "urged" away from that...so, instead slipped the $20 in my pocket and decided to give it to her to help with any small things while at the hospital. It turned out, just as I arrived and before presenting my gifts, they realized they needed a proper sized soother that the hospital didn't have apparently... so my small donation was quite needed. The candy put a huge smile on her face..if her hug was any indication, it was greatly appreciated...lol.
Finally holding Tallyah...man, I was in another world. I could hear the other people in the room but it was only as background noise. All bundled up, I held her in my arms and sang a verse of a lullaby I learned in South America almost 30 years ago. I had no idea why I did that except...it just felt right. A welcome came next, and then a personal introduction of who I was and then letting her know how very loved she was. I could feel my heart chakra churning as I held her and sang...and I was in tears for hours afterwards, off and on, every time I recalled that incredible meeting.
But the magic...I noted that I had been instinctively following a very noticable path to obtain the desired results. One last bit occurred on the bus, coming back. For some reason, I had ridden my bike to a major intersection and chained it up outside of a grocery store and then caught the bus. From there, it's a straight run to get to the hospital they were in so I figured, at the time, I'd done it for convenience. (I would have had to take 2 other buses just to get the final connection where I parked my bike.) On returning, I had to pay a new fare and grabbed a transfer, although it was highly unlikely I'd need it. One of my guides had urged me to grab one and I did. With well over an hour of time left on it, when I reached my destination, I mentioned that it would be a waste to just toss it away. I requested that if possible, I'd like to see it given to somebody who needed it.
I had gone barely a half dozen paces, when I got off at my stop, and pulled out the transfer...this guy was just crossing my path and asked if I had a bus ticket (didn't ask for change...for a bus ticket) to which I replied, "No, but this transfer is good till 6 o'clock."
He was quite pleased...and I had to inform him, as we turned away from each other..."You were an answer to prayer, brother." Add up the variables, if you can, for this to happen by coincidence. A few seconds either way and I would have most likely missed him entirely. It wouldn't have been a huge deal to wait for the buses but I was urged to take my bike to that location. You can take what you want from that but, to me, I have no doubt of my guide's intervention. This journey is becoming quite remarkable.

Psychics may face regulations that help tell which is witch
Possibly they saw it coming, but after decades of lenient regulation, British mediums, psychics and healers will this month find themselves subject to tougher consumer protection laws. These laws leave them open to legal action if they don't provide a series of disclaimers before performing their services.
The man who grew a finger
"I put my finger in," Mr Spievak says, pointing towards the propeller of a model aeroplane, "and that's when I sliced my finger off." It took the end right off, down to the bone, about half an inch. Today though, you wouldn't know it. Mr Spievak, who is 69 years old, shows off his finger, and it's all there, tissue, nerves, nail, skin, even his finger print. How? Well that's the truly remarkable part. It wasn't a transplant. Mr Spievak re-grew his finger tip. He used a powder - or pixie dust as he sometimes refers to it while telling his story.
Monsters hate light
Tina Sena: Two days ago I got a call from an old friend. We used to call him "Inspector Gadget," because could build something out of nothing; robots out of pop-sickle sticks and batteries; cars out of chairs and roller skates. But his coolest creation was a night light he believed would eradicate evil. Yes, you heard me right: A weapon against monsters.
Exorcist calls time on pub poltergeist
An exorcist was called in to purge a haunted pub after it was claimed a ghost tried to kill a barmaid and her brother. Ghostbuster Ian Lawman, 39, had to take drastic action against the violent poltergeist, believed to be a former landlord at the 230-year-old Crown Inn pub in Farnham Common.
'Breakthrough' at Stonehenge dig
Archaeologists carrying out an excavation at Stonehenge say they have broken through to a layer that may finally explain why the site was built. The team has reached sockets that once held bluestones - smaller stones, most now missing or uprooted, which formed the site's original structure. The researchers believe that the bluestones could reveal that Stonehenge was once a place of healing.
Can we really transplant a human soul?
The progress of medical science in the past 30 years has been so rapid that yesterday's miracles are tomorrow's commonplace procedures. So it has proved with heart transplants, which have become almost routine in hospitals around the world. Yet every once in a while a story emerges which should cause us all to sit up and take note that there is nothing "routine" or "commonplace" about such complex operations. The suggestion, highlighted again this week, that donor patients could not only be acquiring the organs but also the memories - or even the soul - of the donor is surely one such story.
He seeks a route through time
Ronald Mallett lost his father to heart disease at the age of 10, an event that left him in utter despair. His depression lasted until he read "The Time Machine" by H.G. Wells and, a few years later, the theories of Albert Einstein - and he became determined to see his father again. For years, Mallett, a physicist at the University of Connecticut, stayed in the "time-travel closet," as he put it, keeping his desire to build a time machine under wraps for fear of ridicule.
Chatting with original ghost whisperer James Van Praagh
The original ghost whisperer, James Van Praagh, is known as a psychic/medium who has made a career of talking to the dead and reassuring the living. He talks about what he claims happens to people after they die, about ghosts attached to Britney Spears and about his own Heath Ledger experience.

Being the avid surfers we are, one of the great resources we have comes from the numerous newsletters that are sent out regularly...and I'm no exception. There are a number that are truly "of note", including Soul Perspectives, a bi-weekly publication sent out by a wonderful organization called The Soul Journey.
Each message takes only a few minutes to read and digest and always helps to illuminate the many aspects of soul... and how essential it is that we view our lives, dreams and goals from a soul perspective, rather than strictly intellectual. The topics are quite diverse at first glance but the newsletter closes on questions designed to apply your new-found knowledge to areas of your life. How dignity reflects on soul, obtaining perfection and wholeness, dealing with loss from a soul's viewpoint, heaven and hell, death and even how to gain insight for any problem, knowing how essential it is that our insights lead to change and creative expression...these are a small sample of the wisdom I've received from this free newlsetter.
Co-founders Andrew and Bonnie Schneider bring a very broad range of experience and knowledge to both the Soul Perpsectives newsletter, as well as their real business - teaching people how to have a more fulfilling and soul-filled life. They offer a number of programs, primarily their six part program "The Soul Journey" that includes learning valuable insights into topics like understanding our three fold nature and even keys to understanding our life's purpose.
Having received this excellent resource for a few years, I can confirm that they do not share email addresses with any third party and I never receive any type of spam from them...hey, this is an important consideration when I choose a newsletter to highlight....lol.
If you could use a bit more advice on how to get the most out of your relationship to soul, Soul Passages would be a very nice complement to your own spiritual path.

Doctor Teacher Guides
This is an ideal guide for me to discuss briefly because of the recent work done with my own. These guides are responsible for all aspects of one's spiritual development and can be both the strictest taskmaskers and most devout of cheerleaders. The doctor status is usually honorary, although Doctor Teacher Guides have had at least one incarnation in some type of related field - priest, nun, philospher etc. They are the ones to call on for replentishment of resources or favorable situations that supply our needs and they do enjoy being asked for assistance. They also are the ones who try to open our minds to new insights and ideas and will present opportunities to facilitate that. A source that I find very reliable also contends that they love debating and discussing spiritual issues with us...and you always thought you were just talking to yourself...lol.
My personal experience...mine has quite a sense of humor, it would seem. Her name is Arabelle and she has a very strong magical background, consequently her communication, thus far, has been with a slight magical inflection. Quite honestly, for a few weeks, I had this phantom woman in a flowing white gown appearing in my periphery for no discernable reason. She closely resembled the elemental in The Chronicles of Riddick, a movie I saw again only a few months ago. Anyway, I've been using "The Name Game" described below to get to know this guide better. On one question, I asked and received the word "inexplicable", in other words a mystery. So I proceeded to suggest using a form of magick - servitor magick - to obtain the needed results and received the word "incorrect" in response, only to be followed by "identity" - free will - as a final to the questions.
What was interesting to note was that I made an unusual deduction, queried for another word and received "controversy" - a form of fighting. It then struck me as the real answer...that the information I was requesting fell under the domain of another guide. For matters dealing with my security in any way, I now know some of the boundaries for my protector guide. It was an interesting new insight. This may sound like a series of half-guesses and perhaps wishful thinking but...if you've done any significant work with guides, you'll know there is no set format that they use to get their messages across, except what you've extablished. Being relatively new at working with them, with this intensity and regularity, learning this spirit communication makes me feel equal measures of the legendary Druid Mog Ruith and an energized Sherlock Holmes.
How to Work With Your Doctor Teacher Guide: The Name Game
It is assumed that one is already aware of the presence of one or more of their guides. Tell them you'd like to get to work and then wait patiently for some type of signal from them...For example, by mutual agreement, my doctor teacher runs one hand between my shoulders and then stands on my right side; that's how I recognize her presence.
Place a dictionary on a table in front of you and then rub your hands vigorously together several times to stimulate the chakras.
Ask a question that isn't a yes or no...I usually phrase it: "Show me a word to describe....as it relates to...." It's important to be as precise as possible so it's advisable to take a few moments beforehand to phase your question so it is clearly understood by your guides.
With eyes closed, run fingers along the edge and flip open to a place you feel drawn to. (For me, the pages just seem to seperate but you may feel pressure or a tingling.) Open up the page, spread your palms wide and then slowly drag them downwards. Be aware of anything unusual because it is likely going to be unique to you. (I sometimes feel a bump on the page, other times a strange kind of ripple.). Read over the word you've been directed to and its definition quickly and see if it relates, in any way, to your present query. Don't let first glances discourage you. Read every single defintion and variation because there likely may be one you are not familiar with or hadn't immediately thought of. Often, reading it will trigger a memory or idea. Don't dismiss these out of hand - our guides are intimately familiar with every detail of our lives. Follow the new insight and see if it provides a new angle on the information you have requested.
How you gather the results to obtain your message from the spirit realm is totally up to you. I've found giving each word a set amount of time for analyzing helped with over-thinking. Once some clarity arrives, I write down the word, the relevant definiition or awareness and then repeat the process - close my eyes, ask a question and then open up the dictionary - until I'm reasonably certain of the answer.
Hmmm, sounds just like using a ouija board, Nick....You're absolutely right but with one blaring difference. Requesting assistance from higher vibration entities - any being unable to live in our dense physical dimension - by way of methods like the ouija, is a recipe for disaster if one is not properly educated and protected. The querent (asker) has no control over the entities who respond or their actions. Some spirits can be devious and "invade" a person's life quite easily if a psychic ability is sensed. Many ancient cultures believed that the dream world we visit each night is just as real as our waking one and a prime vehicle for some entities to be "noticed'.
The Name Game has to begin with a very focused intent that you wish to work with your guides. Initially, it doesn't matter which one, so don't let that deter you, but I would suggest beginning with your doctor teacher guide, but that's only a suggestion. Believe it or not, we all have the wisdom and right to request that they find a method to let us know they are close by - tingles, fragrance, image etc. My doctor teacher stands just off of my right shoulder, sends a slight tingle between my shoulder blades that changes somehow and shoots down to the fingertips of my right hand...it is very distinct and I sometimes envision her looking down like a school teacher when I'm sitting...lol.
An Added Exercise...As you prepare for bed, request that your guides send you a message to indicate who will be the first to call you the next day. Make note of any immediate impressions and write them down, if possible. Similarly, you can request to be shown some indication of what the weather will be when you leave for work the next day. Again, take note of any immediate responses or flashes. Compare these symbols or sensations to what actually happens the next day. These are important clues for you on how your guides communicate and the symbology they use. Dreamwork is another way to obtain information-specific messages and insights from our spirit guides and the topic for another post.

Thanks for coming by. I hope you have an amazing week, full of Love and Light.
See you in the ether !
